Tomatoes in Gelatin

Method

Pour a cup of water from the total volume over the gelatin and let it bloom.

For the marinade, dissolve the salt and sugar in water, bring to a boil, remove from heat, and stir in the vinegar.

Once the foam settles, heat the marinade again, then add the bloomed gelatin and warm it slightly.

Place the onion, peppercorns, cloves, and bay leaf into sterilized jars.

Slice the tomatoes and pack them into the jars, adding half-rings of sweet bell pepper.

Pour the hot gelatin marinade over them.

Process the jars in hot water for 12–15 minutes to sterilize.

Seal with lids, wrap up until completely cooled, and move to a cold place for the jelly to set.
