Method

1

Thaw the puff pastry at room temperature and divide into 4 pieces. No need to roll it out.

2

Place on a baking sheet, dock with a fork, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 20 minutes until golden brown. You can also bake it in an air fryer at 340°F (170°C).

3

Let the baked layers cool, trim off any uneven edges, and crush the trimmings into crumbs—you'll need them for decoration.

4

Cut each layer into 3 pieces to get 12 thin layers in total.

5

Whip the cold heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then slowly pour in the condensed milk in a thin stream while continuing to whip until fluffy.

6

Assemble the cake, generously spreading cream between each layer. Coat the top and sides with cream as well.

7

Sprinkle the cake with the reserved pastry crumbs and optionally decorate to your liking.

8

Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
