Method

Peel and core the apples.

Cut the apples into large wedges.

In a skillet, melt the sugar until amber-colored, add the butter pieces, and remove the skillet from the heat.

Arrange the apples in the skillet.

Thaw the puff pastry, roll it out, and cut out a circle larger than the diameter of the skillet.

Cover the apples in the skillet with the pastry and tuck the edges in around the filling.

Place the skillet back on the heat and melt the caramel.

Bake the tart at 200°C for 20 minutes.

Place a cutting board or plate over the tart and flip it over.
