Method
Rinse and pat the salmon dry, season the steaks generously with salt and pepper. Place the fish on the multicooker's steaming rack.
Rinse the rice and add it to the multicooker pot. Pour in water and add 1 to 1.25 teaspoons of salt, adjusting to taste.
Set the steaming rack in place. Select the Grain setting on your multicooker and cook until the signal sounds—about 40 minutes, though timing may vary depending on your machine.
While the salmon and rice are cooking, prepare the sauce. Wash and dry the fresh herbs, then blend them together with sour cream using an immersion blender or food processor. Season with salt to taste. For extra flavor, you can also blend in a clove of garlic.
To serve, arrange the rice and salmon on a plate and drizzle with the green sauce. Garnish with fresh herbs or a sprig of parsley if you like.
