Method

Crack the egg into a bowl, add the sugar, and whisk until pale and creamy.

Add the softened butter, sour cream, salt, and vanilla to taste, then mix well.

Sift the flour with the baking powder (or add baking soda slaked with vinegar), and knead into a soft dough.

Divide the finished dough into several portions and roll them into small logs.

Cut into small pieces—about the size of half a walnut—and roll into balls.

Coat the shaped balls thoroughly in sugar on all sides.

Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving a little space between each.

Bake in a 180°C (350°F) oven for 7-10 minutes until lightly golden.
