Skillet Manti without a Steamer
Manti are Central Asian meat-filled dumplings wrapped in dough. This recipe lets you make them in a regular skillet by getting a golden crust first, then steam-cooking them through.

Method
Knead the dough from all the listed ingredients and let it rest.
Meanwhile, mix the ground meat with finely chopped onion and spices.
Divide the dough into 3 parts, roll out each one, and cut into squares.
Place the filling in the center, fold into a pouch, and securely pinch the edges on both sides.
Pan-fry the manti in a well-oiled skillet until the bottoms are nicely browned.
Add a splash of water, cover with a lid, and let them steam for 20-25 minutes.
Sprinkle with fresh herbs before serving.
