Method

In a bowl, combine the semolina and warm milk. Let it sit for 30-40 minutes for the semolina to swell.

In another bowl, whisk the egg with the sugar, add the melted butter, and mix.

Add the swollen semolina, salt, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and any mix-ins (such as raisins or nuts) to the prepared mixture. Mix well.

Preheat the multi-baker with sandwich plates.

Lightly grease the inner surface of the molds with vegetable oil.

Pour the batter into the molds and close the multi-baker.

Cook for 5-6 minutes without opening.

Let the finished cakes cool slightly, then dust with sugar or drizzle with honey.
