Method

Start by mixing a soft dough, adding the flour gradually so it doesn't stick to your hands.

Divide the dough into two portions, making the white one slightly larger.

Add cocoa to the smaller portion and knead it through. Add more flour if needed to match the softness of the white dough.

Roll out each portion separately with a small rolling pin (the cocoa dough should be slightly smaller).

Place the cocoa dough on top of the white dough and divide into four sections.

Crimp the edges of the dough with a fork.

Stack 8 pieces on top of each other, press lightly, and roll into a log, then cut in half to create a rose shape.

Place the roses into muffin tins so they hold their shape while baking.

Bake in a preheated 170°C oven until they turn a light pink color.
