Method

Soak the cucumbers in cold water for 1-2 hours. If they are fresh straight from the garden, no soaking is needed.

Bring 2 liters of water to a boil with the allspice berries. Turn off the heat and dissolve 3 tablespoons of salt in it.

Trim the ends of the cucumbers and arrange them in a pickling container, layering them with horseradish, dill, garlic, and cucumbers.

Cover the top of the cucumbers with extra dill and a horseradish leaf.

Pour the slightly cooled brine over the cucumbers and weigh them down with a light weight on top.

Once completely cooled, transfer to the refrigerator; they are ready to taste in 7-12 hours.
