Method
Roll out your puff pastry into a rectangle about 16×12 inches. Score the edges lightly, transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet, brush with egg yolk, and bake in a preheated 400°F oven for about 15 minutes.
While the base is baking, make your filling. Mix the cream cheese with finely chopped dill, add 2 tablespoons of water, and stir until you get a smooth, creamy consistency.
Slice the tomatoes and lightly cured salmon into thin slices. Thinly slice the red onion into rings.
Once the base has cooled completely, spread it evenly with the dill cream cheese mixture.
Layer the tomato slices on top, then add the salmon. Scatter capers and red onion over the top, and finish with fresh dill.
