Method

Bloom the gelatin in cold water and let it sit for 5 minutes.

Warm it up in the microwave.

Add food-grade glycerin.

Pour the room-temperature emulsion over the rice paper and rub it into the sheet using a silicone spatula.

Let it rest for literally 5 minutes.

Flip the sheet over and repeat the same process on the back side.

Give the gelatin another 5 minutes to set, then place any stencil on top.

Using a brush, tap the design through the stencil (in this case, using dry titanium dioxide; any other dry food coloring will work).
