Method

Softened the margarine, add the kefir, and knead into a soft, pliable dough.

Chill in the refrigerator for 30–40 minutes to rest.

Prepare standard mashed potatoes and enrich them generously with butter.

Divide the dough into balls slightly larger than a walnut, and roll them out to a thickness of about 1.5–2 mm.

Place a thick layer of mashed potato filling onto the rolled-out rounds, fold up the edges, and brush the top with a mixture of beaten egg and sour cream.

Place in a preheated oven and bake at 180°C until golden brown, about 15 minutes.

Generously brush the finished pastries with butter.
