Method

Pour boiling water over the poppy seeds and let sit for 30 minutes. Strain through cheesecloth or a fine-mesh sieve.

Pour in the milk and simmer for about 20 minutes until evaporated. Let cool completely.

Add the softened butter and sugar. Mix well (if any liquid appears, drain it so the filling doesn't run).

Roll out the dough, spread the filling, roll into a log, and slice into equal portions.

Place on a baking sheet lined with silicone paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) on top-and-bottom heat for about 20-25 minutes. The main thing is not to dry them out.

Combine the cream cheese and condensed milk. Spread over the hot buns.
