Method
Wash the jars with baking soda and scald them with boiling water.
Place dill, horseradish and cherry leaves, hot pepper, cloves, whole peppercorns, garlic, and bell pepper quarters at the bottom of the jars.
Fill the jars with tomatoes, layering them with cherry plums.
Pour boiling water over them, cover with lids, and let stand for 15 minutes, then drain the water back into a pot.
Bring the water to a boil and repeat the hot pour for another 15 minutes.
Drain the water, add salt, sugar, and bay leaves, and boil for a couple of minutes.
Pour the boiling marinade over the tomatoes in the jars and seal them immediately.
Turn the jars upside down and wrap them in a blanket until they cool completely.
