Method

Place softened butter into a skillet (I used an oven-safe saucepan right away)

Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon

Peel the pears, cut them in half, and arrange them rounded-side down

Melt the butter and sugar until it turns a caramel color

Roll out the dough and cut out a circle of the required diameter

Place the pastry circle into the skillet and pierce it all over with a fork

Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for 25 minutes (use convection mode for the puff pastry)

Let it cool slightly (don't wait too long, or the caramel will harden) and invert the skillet to transfer it onto a serving plate
