Method

Peel the pear and dice it finely.

Mix the cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla sugar.

Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about 3mm thick, then cut it into 4 rectangles.

Divide each rectangle in half visually. On one half, spoon some cream cheese mixture in the center and add the diced pear. On the other halves, make three shallow cuts down the middle.

Cover the filling with the half that has the cuts, then seal the edges.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, arrange the pastries on it, and brush them with egg beaten together with milk.

Bake in a preheated 190°C oven for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown.
