Method

Rinse the pears, core them, and slice into wedges.

Transfer to the slow cooker pot, sprinkle with sugar, and run on Simmer mode for 10 minutes. Skim off the foam and let sit for 4 hours to release the juices.

Bring back to a boil and let rest for another 4 hours.

Heat through one more time on Simmer mode, add the citric acid, and stir gently.

Pour the finished jam into sterilized jars and seal with lids.
