Method
Pour the warm milk and warm water into a large bowl. Add the yeast, sugar, and half of the vegetable oil. Stir to combine.
Add the salt and gradually mix in the sifted flour. Knead into a soft, sticky dough.
Pour the remaining vegetable oil over the dough and onto your hands, then knead until smooth—it will no longer stick to your hands and will be much easier to work with.
Cover the bowl of dough with a lid or plastic wrap and leave it in a warm place to rise.
Once the dough has risen nicely, divide it into 3 portions and shape each one into a ball.
Lightly oil your hands and the work surface, then stretch each piece of dough out by hand to a thickness of 1 cm.
Heat a little oil in a skillet and fry the flatbreads over medium heat on both sides until golden brown.
