Method

If using meat, cut it into bite-sized pieces. Dice the yellow onions finely.

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet, add the onions, and sauté until translucent. Sprinkle with baking soda to help them break down.

Add the meat to the skillet with the onions, season with salt and spices, cover with a lid, and simmer over low heat for about 15 minutes.

Stir in the pasta, mix well, and cover with a lid, adding a splash of water if needed.

Wait until the sauce is fully absorbed by the pasta, turn off the heat, and let it rest on the stove for 10–15 minutes.
