Method

Rinse the raisins and soak them in warm water for 20-30 minutes. Then drain and pat dry.

Crumble the yeast into warm milk and let it sit in a warm spot for 10-15 minutes.

Add the eggs to the milk and whisk. Sift the flour and mix with sugar and salt.

Combine the wet and dry ingredients, kneading into a smooth dough.

Dice the apple finely. Fold it into the dough along with the raisins.

Shape into a ball, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for an hour.

Heat oil in a deep pot. Shape small balls using oiled hands or a spoon.

Fry for 4-6 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and dust with powdered sugar.
