Method

Combine the butter with the milk and warm until the butter melts.

Whisk the eggs with the sugar in a bowl. Pour in the milk and butter mixture, and stir well.

Add the flour and mix until smooth. For an even smoother consistency, you can blend the batter or strain it through a fine-mesh sieve.

Divide the batter into 3 portions.

Base portion: This is the part we will use to flood the entire surface. Add literally 1 tsp of cocoa.

Portion for the spots: This should be larger than the contour portion, but smaller than the base. It took about 2.5 tsp of cocoa.

Contour portion: This will require the least amount. It took about 4 tsp of cocoa plus a little extra milk to make the consistency runnier.

Place a crepe pan on the stove over low heat, and lightly grease it with a drop of vegetable oil.

Pipe the pattern. As soon as you finish the design, turn the heat up slightly and pour in the base batter.
