Method

1

Put the starch in a bowl and add 100 ml of juice to dissolve it.

2

Pour the remaining juice into a saucepan and heat on the stove, making sure not to bring it to a boil.

3

Stir the starch and juice mixture thoroughly in the bowl, then pour it from the bowl into the hot juice in the saucepan.

4

Whisk the mixture on the stove for a few minutes until it thickens.

5

If you prefer it sweeter, you can add a teaspoon of honey at this point.

6

Once the thickened mixture starts to bubble, continue whisking and cook for three minutes.

7

After three minutes, turn off the heat and stir in the previously chopped nuts.

8

Mix everything together and pour onto a silicone mat.

9

Place in the dehydrator for 7 hours at 55°C.

10

Then take it out and let it cool.

11

Once cooled, flip the churchkhela onto a plastic mesh screen and return it to the dehydrator to dry for another 7 hours.
