Method

Boil the beets for 1.5–2 hours or bake them. Cool, peel, and coarsely grate.

Boil the liver for 20–30 minutes. Cool and chop into relatively small pieces.

Finely chop the onion with a knife. Sauté lightly in a skillet with oil and let cool.

Dice the cucumbers into small pieces. Mince the garlic through a press and mix it with the beets.

In a bowl, assemble in layers: half of the beets, the liver combined with the onion, the cucumbers, and the remaining beets. Spread mayonnaise or pipe a mayonnaise lattice after each layer.

Sprinkle the assembled salad with nuts.
