Method

1

Slice each chicken breast lengthwise into two flat pieces (you'll get neat steaks). Give them a gentle tap with the back of your knife. Season with salt and pepper, then sprinkle with garlic powder on all sides.

2

Dice the mushrooms and onion into small cubes. Mix them in a bowl with sour cream (or yogurt) and a pinch of salt. No need to sauté anything ahead of time.

3

Line the bottom of the air fryer basket with parchment paper to keep the juices in, or use a silicone mold. Lay out the chicken breasts. Generously spread the mushroom and onion mixture on top of each piece.

4

Put the dish in the air fryer at 180°C (350°F).

5

Total cooking time is 20 minutes. With 5 minutes left, open the basket and generously cover the chicken with grated cheese (using the large holes of your grater). Put it back in to let the cheese melt completely and get golden brown.
