Method
Soak your dried chickpeas in cold water overnight, then cook them until completely tender.
Transfer the cooked chickpeas to a blender, add half of the vegetable broth or the cooking liquid, your spices, garlic, and tahini. Blend everything until completely smooth.
Pour in the lemon juice and olive oil, season with salt, then blend again. Adjust the consistency with the remaining broth if needed.
Spoon the hummus into a bowl or shallow plate, drizzle generously with olive oil, and dust with smoked paprika.
