Method

Beat the softened butter with sugar and salt until fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing until smooth after each addition.

Sift half of the flour with baking powder into the mixture, beat until smooth.

Add the remaining flour and quickly knead the dough by hand. It should turn out soft. Add more flour if necessary if it sticks to your hands.

Divide the dough into two parts and wrap in plastic wrap. Place one part in the freezer and the other in the refrigerator.

After a few hours, press the chilled dough from the fridge evenly into a baking pan (fits a 26 cm pan), form edges, and spread the jam over the top.

Grate the frozen dough from the freezer evenly over the surface of the jam.

Bake the pie in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes.
