Method
Sort through the gooseberries, rinse and dry them well, remove the stems and flower remnants, then run everything through a meat grinder.
Add sugar, mix thoroughly, and warm the mixture over low heat for 10–15 minutes, stirring constantly.
Turn up the heat, bring to a boil, and simmer for 20–30 minutes, skimming off the foam as it rises.
Prepare your jars and lids by pouring boiling water over them.
Pour the hot jam into the jars and seal them up.
