Fluffy Buns with Dulce de Leche
Tender yeast buns filled with boiled condensed milk, topped with nuts and streusel. Perfect homemade pastry for tea time.

Method
Warm the milk until lukewarm (not hot). Add the yeast and sugar, stir, and let sit for 10–15 minutes until a frothy cap forms.
Add the egg, egg yolk, vanilla sugar, and salt. Mix well.
Gradually add the sifted flour and knead the dough.
Once the dough comes together into a ball, add the softened butter and knead for 10–15 minutes. The dough should become smooth, soft, and slightly sticky.
Transfer the dough to a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm place for 1–1.5 hours. It should double in volume.
Gently punch down the risen dough and divide into 50–60g portions. Roll each piece into a small flat circle.
Place 1 teaspoon of chilled boiled condensed milk in the center. Pinch the edges tightly and shape into buns.
Brush with an egg and milk wash, then top with nuts and streusel. Bake in the oven at 180°C until golden brown.
