"Drunken" Tomatoes for the Winter with Vodka

Method

Peel the garlic and slice it thinly. Place it at the bottom of prepared 700 ml jars. Add the allspice and black peppercorns.

Wash the tomatoes and pack them tightly into the jars.

Pour boiling water over the tomatoes right to the top. Let them sit for 7 minutes.

Drain the water from the jars into a saucepan. If desired, add cloves, place over heat, and bring back to a boil.

While the water is heating, add the sugar and salt directly into the jars. Pour in the vodka and vinegar.

Pour the boiling water from the saucepan over the tomatoes and seal them up immediately.

Flip the jars upside down, wrap them up, and leave until they have cooled completely.
