Method

Warm the milk and water, then add the yeast and sugar. Let sit for 10–15 minutes until frothy.

Whisk in the egg, vanilla, salt, and melted butter. Gradually add the sifted flour and knead into a soft dough that doesn't stick to your hands.

Cover with plastic wrap and place in a warm spot for 1–1.5 hours.

Divide the dough in half. Roll each piece out to about 1 cm thick and cut out circles. Let them rise for 10 minutes under plastic wrap.

Fry in plenty of vegetable oil over low heat until golden brown.

Transfer the finished donuts to paper towels to drain excess oil.

Fill them immediately with warm boiled condensed milk while still warm.
