Method

Wash and sterilize the jars, and boil the lids.

Slice the garlic and distribute it evenly into the jars along with the pepper.

Wash the cucumbers, pat them dry, trim the ends, and cut them into lengthwise wedges, packing them tightly into the jars.

Combine the tomato sauce, water, salt, and sugar in a saucepan, simmer for a couple of minutes, then stir in the vinegar.

Ladle the hot marinade into the jars, process in a water bath for 12 minutes from the moment the water boils, seal tightly with lids, flip upside down, and wrap in a blanket until completely cooled.
