Method

Wash the cucumbers and slice them into rounds about 0.5 cm thick.

Pack them tightly into a sterilized jar, adding garlic if desired.

Pour boiling water over them twice, letting them sit for 10 minutes each time with the lid loosely covered.

Drain the second batch of water into a saucepan, add the sugar, salt, adjika, and spices, bring to a boil, and simmer for 2–3 minutes, then stir in the vinegar and remove from heat.

Pour the hot marinade over the cucumbers, seal airtight, and wrap them up until completely cooled.

Store in a cool place.
