Method

Wash the jar thoroughly with baking soda and sterilize it over steam.

Soak the cucumbers in cold water for 2 hours, then rinse them.

Place black peppercorns, bay leaf, garlic, and dill at the bottom of the jar.

Pack the cucumbers tightly and pour boiling water over them for 10–15 minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare the brine: bring water to a boil, add salt, sugar, and citric acid, stir, then add the aspirin and bring back to a boil until completely dissolved.

Drain the water from the jar and pour the hot brine over the cucumbers all the way to the top.

Seal tightly with a lid, wrap in a blanket, and leave until completely cooled.

Store in a cool place.
