Peel the potatoes and cut them into matchsticks; using a french fry cutter makes this easiest. Pat the potatoes dry with paper towels.

Pour vegetable oil into a saucepan and place it over the heat. Wait a few minutes for it to heat up, then very carefully add the potatoes. Fry for a couple of minutes until golden brown.

Season the chicken breast steaks with salt and spices, then pan-fry them until cooked through.

Arrange the lettuce leaves, French fries, tomatoes, and chicken on a plate.
