Crispy Cherry Lavash Bites

Method

Thaw the cherries completely. Place them in a saucepan along with their juice, reserving a small amount of juice for the starch.

Add sugar to taste, bring to a boil, and stir until the sugar dissolves.

In a separate bowl, mix the cornstarch with the reserved cherry juice, pour it into the hot cherries, and cook for a couple of minutes while stirring constantly until the filling thickens. Let it cool completely.

Cut the lavash into 12-13 cm squares.

Place the cherry filling on the edge of each square, tuck in the sides to prevent the juice from leaking out, and roll them up into logs.

Heat a skillet with vegetable oil, place the mini strudels inside, and fry over medium heat until golden brown on both sides.

Dust the finished strudels with powdered sugar and serve.
