Method

In a bowl, beat the butter with the sugar.

Add the eggs and beat again with a mixer until combined.

Add the milk and mix well.

Mix part of the flour with the baking powder, sift, and add to the butter-milk mixture. Gradually add the remaining flour, knead a soft dough that doesn't stick to your hands, and let it rest in a warm place for half an hour.

Preheat the oven to 170°C (340°F).

Roll the dough into a log and divide it into 20 equal portions, rolling each out thinly to a 22 cm diameter.

Bake each layer for about 4-5 minutes until lightly golden.

For the frosting, whip cold heavy cream with powdered sugar until thick and fluffy.

Assemble the cake by spreading cream on each layer, frost the top, and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
