Method

Take the butter out in advance so it softens.

Mix the egg with the sugar (do not whip), then add the cottage cheese.

Add a couple of tablespoons of flour, the softened butter, and the baking powder.

Mash with a fork to remove lumps, then gradually add the rest of the flour. The amount may vary depending on the moisture of the cottage cheese. The goal is a soft, non-sticky dough. Don't overdo the flour: it's better to use slightly less.

Roll out the dough as thinly as possible. Cut out circles using a glass (6–7 cm).

Stack three circles in a row, roll them up into a log, and cut it in half. You will get two flowers.

Place on a baking sheet and bake at 160 °C for 15–17 minutes. Watch closely so they don't burn — the petals are thin.

Let the finished «Flower» cookies cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar.
