Method

Pour the lukewarm, not hot, milk into a bowl, add the yeast and all the sugar, and mix well.

Cover with plastic wrap or a bag and leave in a warm place for 15 minutes to let the yeast activate.

Add the softened butter, egg, and a pinch of salt to a bowl, mix everything together, then stir in the active yeast mixture.

Gradually add the flour in batches and knead into a dough. Lightly oil your hands with vegetable oil to make it easier.

Place the dough in a warm place to proof for about 2 hours.

Divide the dough into 12 equal portions.

Roll out each piece, spoon jam into the center, and pinch the edges closed to form a round ball.

Let the shaped buns proof in a warm place for 15-20 minutes.

Brush with egg and top with a streusel made from ice-cold butter, sugar, and flour.

Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C until golden brown.
