Melt the butter completely on the stove until clear, then simmer until it turns a caramel color (2 minutes), let it cool, add all the sugar, and mix well.

Next, stir in the eggs, then gradually add the flour, vanilla, and baking powder. Mix the dough with a spoon; it should be thick yet pliable, soft, and slightly sticky.

Then fold the chopped chocolate into the dough and distribute it evenly.

After shaping the dough into balls, place them in the freezer for 1 hour (or preferably overnight).

Transfer them to a preheated oven at 170°C (340°F). Bake for 10-13 minutes and let cool completely.

If the cookies are still soft and seem underbaked, take them out of the oven anyway—that's how they should be. They will firm up as they cool.
