Chicken Cordon Bleu

Method

Slice the chicken breast horizontally almost all the way through to create a pocket. Place between plastic wrap and pound gently. Season with salt and pepper.

Lay ham slices and Gruyère cheese on one side of the chicken, fold over the other half, and press the edges firmly to seal.

Coat in flour first, then dip in beaten egg, and finish with a thorough coating of breadcrumbs.

Heat a skillet with a little oil and pan-fry over medium heat for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.

Transfer to an air fryer or 350°F oven and cook for another 8 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted inside.

Serve immediately with mashed potatoes, fresh vegetables, or a green salad.
