Method
Rinse the cauliflower thoroughly and cut it into small florets, chopping the stem into random pieces.
Peel the potatoes and cut them into large, rough cubes.
Place the potatoes and cauliflower in a steamer or cook them using any preferred method until tender. This will take about 10–15 minutes. If you don't have a steamer, you can boil the potatoes and cauliflower in salted water. Cover the veggies with water, bring to a boil, and cook for 12–15 minutes until tender.
Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
Transfer the cooked vegetables to a bowl and mash them with a fork or potato masher until smooth.
Add the spices, salt, and cheese to the vegetables, and mix well—you should end up with a soft dough that doesn't stick to your hands.
On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, shape small nuggets with your hands or spoon the mixture out, giving it an oblong shape.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (350 °F) for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
Let the nuggets cool slightly before serving. They are best served with a dipping sauce like ketchup or sour cream.
