Caramel Apple Slices Jam
Fragrant, thick apple jam with whole slices in caramel syrup, perfect for winter tea time.

Method
Wash the apples and core them.
Cut into slices 0.5-1 cm thick.
Cover with sugar, preferably in layers.
Leave for 6-8 hours so the apples release their juices.
Then place the pot with the apples on the heat and bring up to temperature.
It's better not to stir the apples, just occasionally press the slices down into the syrup with a spoon.
Boil for 5 minutes, remove from heat and let cool.
Let it sit for another 8-12 hours and heat again. Repeat this process 3-4 times.
Before the final heating, prepare your jars and lids.
Bring the apple jam to a boil; you can optionally add a little cinnamon for aroma.
Ladle the boiling apple jam into the prepared jars and seal them.
Turn the jars upside down and let them cool.
