Beef and Potato Vak-Blish
Traditional Tatar mini pies with a juicy meat and potato filling. Butter added during baking makes the filling extra tender.

Method
Stir the baking soda into the kefir, then mix well. Add the salt and melted butter, and gradually incorporate the sifted flour.
Knead into a soft, pliable dough, cover, and let rest for 30 minutes.
For the filling, combine the beef with finely diced potatoes and onions. Season with salt and pepper and mix thoroughly.
Divide the dough into equal portions, shape into balls, and roll each into a small disc. Place the filling in the center and gather the edges of the dough upward, leaving a small opening at the top.
Brush the vak-blishes with beaten egg, place them in the Grand Chef bowl, and bake on the BAKE setting at 180°C for 15 minutes.
Through the top opening, drop a small pat of butter into each vak-blish and bake for another 2–3 minutes on the same setting.
