Apple and Plum Jam
A fragrant homemade jam made from autumn fruits that pairs beautifully with tea or works wonderfully as a filling for baked goods.

Method
Rinse the plums, cut them into pieces, and remove the pits.
Wash the apples, slice them into wedges, and remove the cores.
Layer the plums in a large pot, sprinkle with half the sugar and give it a gentle shake, then add the apples on top and cover with the remaining sugar. Let it sit until the fruit releases its juices.
Place over low heat, bring to a boil, and simmer for 5–7 minutes while skimming off any foam. Then let it cool completely.
Bring back to a boil, add a cinnamon stick or a few cloves if you like, simmer for 5–10 minutes, and cool again.
If needed, repeat the heating and cooling cycle once more until the fruit reaches your desired softness.
Pour the finished jam into hot sterilized jars while still warm, seal with lids, and let cool.
