Method

Wash the apples and place them into a clean, dry jar.

Pour boiling water over them and let stand for 20 minutes with the lid on.

Drain this water and stir in the sugar and citric acid.

Bring the liquid back to a boil and pour it back over the Antonovka apples.

Seal the compote for the winter.
