Method

Rinse the liver, pat dry, and toss with coarsely grated carrots, sliced onions, salt, pepper, and sunflower oil. Place the mixture onto the air fryer rack.

Cook on the "Vegetables" setting or at 160°C (325°F) for 25 minutes, making sure to stir the liver and vegetables halfway through at the 15-minute mark.

Check for doneness by breaking a piece of liver apart—there should be no pink blood inside. If needed, cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Transfer the cooked liver and vegetables to a food processor, add the butter, and blend until smooth. If the pate is too thick, you can mix in 2-3 tablespoons of hot water.
